Projet d’intégration des arts à l’architecture (1%) // Maison des ainés de Rivière-du-Loup (QC).
Pommier : For the front yard of the Maison des ainés de Rivière-du-Loup, I made a generous fruit tree that symbolises a garden. The symbolism also joins that of the Jardin des délices, in which large red and orange apples diffuse a light that transcends the work. The tree and foliage colors are inspired by the Northern Lights. The apple tree is inviting and incitates people to come around to relax.
Un coeur habité : For the backyard, the theme is the forest. Two bears are sitting in front of each other and they draw a heart with the internal space of their body. I symbolically represented the heart of the fores, which is also the ideal place to be photographed! The 2 bears are made of forged brass and they are standing on a forged aluminium base, which symbolises a rock.
The two works are autonomous and complementary. They are pretexts for meetings.
