|2019| MOLINARI, L’OURS ET LE LIÈVRE
Aluminium , bi-component paint, concrete and rocks.
Height 145cm x width 153cm x depth 40cm.
Installation made for the Symposium d'Art In situ L'Énergie de la lièvre, summer 2019, Val-des-bois (QC),
Organisez by the Centre d'action culturelle of the Papineau MRC.
The work is presented like a large colored aluminum painting. A bear is cut from the thick plate and the rest of the surface consists of brightly colored vertical stripes. The paint pattern is inspired from a painting by Guido Molinari. When the spectator stands on the rock in front of the work, he can see through the bear the precise drawing of the hare on the ground made with small rocks. The hare deforms when moving, which is the characteristic of an anamorphic figure : to be visible from a single point of view. The rabbit should disappear over time, from which we will only keep the memory.
